In this video I talk about how well on wall speakers perform for home theater use. I also answer ho well they sound and they’re versatility and flexibility. The specific on wall speakers I use are Goldenear and Emotiva. Both great brands of speaker designers in different categories but outstanding performance nonetheless. But you loose the power from the reciever? Wanting to bi amp. Reciever running the high end and external amplifier running the low end. Don't look possible with this device. Once you run your speaker wire out from your reciever? Or could you use the B channel for this device and still get sound out of the A channel. I have questions. Anybody got some out there?
No you don’t lose the power from the receiver. It’s just redirected. As far as bi-amping, I think your best bet is using b channels. I haven’t used b channels in a while the only issue that might be there is if your going for true Atmos or Dolby, the b channels might shut off or not allow for true surround sound. But I think it’s an interesting concept you got there. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
The Magnetar UDP 9000 has the best audio section of any 4K player, and at $3000 you know why.
Hmmm. I’ll have to check that one out. Thanks
No joke wtf no music????😢
I know how you feel. However I’m collaborating with Fred again soon and we will have music in that vid. Thanks for watching
Great testing I always heard that the tube's were better!😂

Hope it aint that crappy adp piece of shit, tried it, sucked
Sorry to hear that man. I’ve been using the ones I have for a little over 3 years. They worked great for me. Not one issue. Thanks for watching
People buy two amplifiers and become experts , giving their expertise as if they were designers with degrees in Electronics and electrical engineering!! and fools accepting their bla bla bla ....

I run the 100F’s / 90C / 40B’s supported by the Anthem AVM70 / MCA225 / MCA525 with the Perlisten D15S & D215S. Endgame for me.
Whoa 😳 killer system my guy. I bet that sounds outstanding
Dolby atmos
Oh yeah
I liked the solid state amps way better than the tube amp. I could clearly hear everything with the solid state amps. The Carver tube amp sounds muddy.
Great input. Thanks for watching.
What the purple input on the amplifier
If you talking about the receiver? It’s actually blue but does look purple in the camera. That is the old school video component input output aka RGB. Which used to be the highest quality video output before HDMI
You could split out of the phones jack too
Which stereo
I was using my Parasound p-6 preamp.
@@Audiolympian Thank you. Do you which stereo amplifiers are matching with Paradigm Monitor V7
@@alenjosemathew I use my Parasound jc1’s amps
@@Audiolympian thank you
Good day. Can you tell us the name of the enclosure you bought for this adapter.
I apologize, I don’t remember. It was just a housing unit I bought from parts express.
Does it matter what the ohms rating on the receiver is when you ad an amp like this
Good question. Yes and no. As long as the ohms do not drop below 2 ohms. Which most receivers do not go that low. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
I have a FF 3 which I bought to match my Triton seven GoldenEar. It is my first surround system and I have enjoyed the system along with my NAD receiver.
Oooh. A FF3 and triton 7’s is a killer system
I also have the golden ear super cinema 3D center channel.
@@jgdmlw nice. I’ve never got around to picking one of those up. I was close many times. How is it?
@@Audiolympian i did not compare it with other center speakers so it is hard for me to judge but I am pretty happy with my Golden Ear system and the center sounds pretty nice.
@@jgdmlw good enough. Thanks
How are these compared to GE Triton one R?
The founder 80’s are certainly a step down from the 1.r’s but the founder 100’s are a force to be reckoned with and definitely hold their own compared to the 1.r’s. Hope that helps
I've watched lord of the rings in DTS. And wow, what a difference
Yes, a major difference
Dts x always best'
I agree
Shame you didn’t show it playing a CD. What does the display do does it show track and time. And can you use the front panel buttons to play and navigate a CD
That’s a good idea. I’ve been thinking of doing an updated video on this player. As I’ve been getting more questions about it.
Do you know of any receiver that you don't have to use an adapter
In today’s market it should be any receiver in the $700 price range and up. Denon, marantz, anthem, Yamaha. The preout feature is something companies only put on their high end products. Hope that helps.
What's that adapter called
Short name is Russound ADP-1.2
Thank You Sir
@Squeeze123youlie my pleasure
Ohhh OK thank you.

Ssd .. No sound Demo.
Sadly no, because UA-cam strikes everything. But I’m doing another video soon and others have asked for it so I’ll show a music demo and just take the strike. Thanks for watching
External amp, does that include a EQ?
Most of the time no. But I can depend on the type of amp. Thanks for watching
Can anyone explain to me why you would hook a sub to a pre amp if the sub has a dedicated amplifier? Thank you.
Good question. A preamp is basically a glorified source selector, like cd player, dvd player, streamer things like that. Those sources plug into the preamp, the preamp plugs into the amplifier then to the speakers. So contrary to the name a preamp does not amplify hence the “pre” but it does control volume. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
Im surprised the Founder doesnt have outright superior sound quality.Yea of course it cant match your Tritons output, but I would expect superior sound quality.
True. The founder 100’s do have super sound quality and incredible bass. Thanks for watching
Nothing helps if the led driver (leds power source) gives that. My DLP has a battery and even if there is no ac power source, hdmi etc connected it gives that stroboscopic effect (like some LCD screens have) in menu screen.
Correct 👍. Thanks for watching
I remember getting a VHS from Sony with announcement of DVD and its benefits
That’s gold right there.
what is center speakers?? As far as I have seen before, you were using golden ear center
I now use the Paradigm Founder 90c
Keep up the great job! 😎👍🏻
Thanks my guy. Appreciate you watching
@@Audiolympian I forgot to ask what kind of blue-ray would you recommend?
@HPMIKE55 if you mean Blu-ray player Sony and Panasonic make very good entry level players along with high end ones as well. Marantz has good ones as well.
U couldnt just put the RCA cables in one of thosw inputs then turn the receiver to that?
No, because the inputs are for other sources and devices like dvd, cd players and turntables. Which means the audio from the source goes in the receiver and out to the speakers. Most of the time the sound goes out to the speaker terminals unless a receiver has speaker preouts. Then you can have the ability to connect an external amp. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
How did you intall pre amp chip... You didn't show where you plugged it in...
I show a more detailed version in this video. Thanks for watching. ua-cam.com/video/0OzPOIPp_ZE/v-deo.htmlsi=u1Z8wffGP_5VU5Fa
Can you connect a Sony Bluetooth speaker with that turntable please help?
Sorry no, it does not have Bluetooth capability.

My sound system consists of 6 SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers (2 for the mains, 2 for the side channels, and 2 for the rears), an SVS Ultra Center speaker, 4 SVS Prime Elevation speakers ceiling mounted for Dolby Atmos and 2 SVS SB-3000 Subwoofers. The system is powered by a Parasound Halo A52+ 5 channel amplifier and a Yamaha Aventage RX-A8A 11 channel AVR with dual AC Infinity AIRCOM T9's keeping them cool, and all are connected to a Panamax M5400-PM Power Conditioner.
Nice system my guy. I bet it sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for watching
Does it have a level control?? Think that ur amp can push 80w and the line out converter is capable of delivering pure audio to the rca without over power music.. Then my receiver is delivering 150w and i am connecting that l.o.c for my receiver, then will my music overpowered to the rca and cause clipping or distortion. Please answer me.. becz all the car audio loc has a level control...
The device does not have a level control, but that’s because all the control and adjustments can be done from the receiver. Which you will need to do, to get the sound to your liking. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
I use an 80f for my center in my 100f system
Nice. That’s a killer set up. Those speakers are magnificent. Thanks for watching
Can you use these adapters for a TV with audio out? Any channel of audio output with the correct adapters? Thanks.
Good question. I would think you can use it with tv audio as well, as long as the tv has speaker output terminals. But I haven’t tried it. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
@@Audiolympian Thank you so much .Yes the right and left but also there are adapters for other audio output to right and left.As the adapter you mentioned in your video.
@@kennethwilson7839 you should be good to go
I know this is an older video. Anyone interested can build one of these and make it less bulky. Take a short length of speaker wire. Connect the positive lead to one leg of a 1w 3.9k ohm resistor and another short wire from the other leg to the positive connection of a female RCA connector (solder or screw terminal style). Do the same for the negative lead except using a 1/2w 430 ohm resistor with the other leg going to the negative terminal of the same RCA connector. 2 resistors (1 per lead) of differing resistance. Solder the speaker wires to the resistors. Then, you can shrink tube the resistors and joints or wrap with electrical tape or tessa tape. Plug in your rca cable to the diy connector. Connect the exposed speaker lead to your speaker output of your receiver. No need for a bulky plate. You could make 5 or 7 of these for %10 or so combined. I had to pause the video to read the resistors and see how they are connected. Wire > resistor > rca connector. The parts are cheap on Amazon or other sites online. I hope this helps.
Wow thanks for that explanation. Appreciate you watching
If your receiver has a headphone jack, you can use that as a pre-out. So, the cable you'd need, is a phono plug (headphone plug) to RCA. It's not "clean" looking but, it 100% works. You just need to remember to disable your selected speakers on the receiver.
Thanks for the tip and for watching
sounds great now check the Edge of Tomorrow intro scene then you will return the pb-16ultra because of the annoying sound from the port many people have experienced this
I have watched that intro scene. And yes I’ve heard about the port noise but I don’t get any. But you just gave me an idea. 💡 perhaps the port noise is just not audible for me and maybe a mic can pick it up. 🤔. Time for my next video. Thanks for watching

I feel like they're a nightmare to repair, cost, size and weight-wise; sooner or later they'll need at least one repair on the foam surround or/and amps. Maybe two F113's are a smarter move. Or two Velodynes Digital Drives.
You might be right. I will say the surround material on the subs are state of the art. Dense, strong but very flexible. Smooth to the touch almost like a leather feel.
You're a lifesaver! My Denon only has subwoofer pre-outs so I really thought I didn't have any other options for hooking up an external amplifier until I saw this video! I pretty much ordered this immediately lol. Can you hear any sound differences using this adapter? Side note: check out Fosi v3 mono amplifier that just came out. It's around $100 and is putting high-end amps to shame, especially at its price!
You’re welcome, no difference in sound for me. I have seen the Fosi but haven’t looked into it, thanks for the tip. I’ll check it out. I’ve been waiting for something new to review. Thanks for watching
It seems to me that the speaker wire being unshielded will introduce hum into the amplifier.
It certainly can but most hum in systems are because of a grounding issue. If something isn’t grounded properly then cables and wires can cause hum. Thanks for watching

Almost every sub can blow out candles. Even my Logitech Z-5500 subwoofer from 2007 can blow out candles lol

@Error2username one could say that haha
Great video! Are those Supersat 3's on the Left and Right able to hit reference levels?
Thanks. Actually, yes they can but they do get a little sharp sounding when they do. Not to be confused with distortion just a bit pitchy. Thanks for watching brother.
Hey, really late to this party LOL. Thanks for this video. Just a question, did you ever try the RCA analog 2 channel outs instead of the XLR? I'm wondering if they would provide better CD audio than the HDMI? My Oppo BDP-95 just recently stopped putting out any audio so I'm hoping this can take over the CD duties as well.
Yes I did. And yes the rca connection was better sounding than the hdmi. For some reason the hdmi connection wasn’t as good sounding as rca and xlr on any players I tried. Hope that helps thanks for watching
@@Audiolympian Sure does! Thanks for the quick reply! Enjoy your system!
@@chrismacandrew9692 thanks
Hey ya. I'm just about to set mine up for the first time and do you have to toggle between HDMI Video+Audio on and off to switch the sound between the TV speakers and the stereo?
@@jefffan171 I think it depends on how you have it set up. I actually use mine for only music. I have an hdmi connected to a monitor to see the cd contents but that’s it. So I’m not sure if you have to toggle it but possibly.
